Cloud Architect

Requirements

• Has 10+ years of experience developing web services in Java, MySQL, Apache, Tomcat
• Has developed very high volume web services
• Will be expected to come in and re-architect our existing system to be more scalable
• Participate in feature discussions and coming up with a scalable engineering design quickly
• Strong in implementing RESTful web services in Java : Has worked with a large user base (multimillion) that has high concurrency in data access.
• Expert in MySQL : Understands what part of the feature to be implemented in the DB and what should be implemented on other layers

• Expertise in Lucene and/or Solr

Director of App Revenue

The Director of App Revenue defines business and operational initiatives that contribute to the company's growth. The role includes projects such as developing and implementing next-generation advertising products, defining strategies to optimize data insights and operations, and establishing business initiatives for emerging markets and revenue streams. Your success will be measured by the impact you have on growing new revenue streams for the company.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and implement new revenue opportunities for Peel apps. Develop insightful recommendations on strategic direction and specific project opportunities that can move the needle for new revenue streams.
• Prepare business plans for each viable revenue stream. The business plan will capture opportunity size, execution steps, strategic and tactical relationships required as well as financial goals.
• Perform analysis and research of technical and business issues associated with potential product ideas or strategic investments.
• Identify, evaluate and build relationships with key partners.
• Incubate and lead projects. Find creative ways to structure and launch projects, leveraging resources to have substantial impact. Lead execution, delivering results quickly and effectively.
• Build compelling cases for projects that will build consensus among cross-functional teams and motivate executives. Advocate and champion projects with executives.
• Be a leader and recognized expert on the team. Plan and manage multiple work streams, while also providing insights and input on other team initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years' experience in media, mobile and/or consumer electronics industries
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and work independently with a focus on delivering end product/results
• Proven track record of entrepreneurial activity in creating and scaling projects
• Experience in new media advertising and/or data monetization
• Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with highly technical management team
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent
• Ability to quantify and track business and tie back to financial objectives
• Must be flexible to travel 10-20%
• Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.

• Help building new business strategies by modeling them.
• Provide fact-based opinion on all management level strategic decisions.

Interaction Designer

• Degree in interaction design, human computer interaction, industrial design, or equivalent

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — copywriting experience a plus
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Mac OS X, and iOS — familiarity with Android a plus
